Men’s Ministry – Men of Faith
The Men’s Ministry is focusing on the following:
- prayer time for special needs of men and Bible discussion subjects or special topics for men.
If there is need, the men will visit the sick and assist in their homes. The men are outreaching to and supporting both young and adult men, and are discussing social issues that affect men. The Men of Faith ministry is visioning to help to lead an army of men into a deep relationship with the Lord.
In the monthly meetings the men focus on an atmosphere where men can realize spiritual maturity and fellowship, develop their leadership skills, and minister in the church, and their community.
The men are teaching responsibility as Men of God who will offer themselves as living sacrifices, acceptable and pleasing to God; be devoted to one another in love, honoring one another above themselves; serve God and their church with zeal, keeping their spiritual fervor; joyfully hope; be patient in affliction and faithful in prayer; share with God’s people who are in need; and practice hospitality. The verses found in Romans 12:1, 10-13 are the foundations for these sayings.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13
The Men’s Ministry is teaching men how to be faithful as Christian men, showing and leading the way for young boys and teens in the church. Men are taught to apply God’s Word to all areas of their life. James 1:22-25; Ezekiel 33:30-32. God’s men invest time and resources into the lives of other men. With suggested one-on-one connection through shared activities, spiritual mentoring, and modeling (2 Tim. 2:22; Proverbs 27:17; Mark 3:13-14).
